Around 200 exhibitors, 20,000 visitors, almost 8,000 m2 of exhibition space – that is the Hohenlohe Business Fair, which takes place every three years on the Wertwiesen in Künzelsau. Right in the middle of it all: the STAHL CraneSystems stand. One of this year’s highlights: Oliver Widmann, junior world champion in trial biking, demonstrated at the STAHL CraneSystems stand what this extreme sport has in common with the Künzelsau specialists for crane and hoisting technology.

The Hohenlohe Business Fair offers companies from a wide variety of sectors in the Hohenlohe region an opportunity to present their products, services, innovations and visions, and was this year also aimed specifically at the younger generations: the Vocation Information Day on Friday drew attention to the training opportunities in the district. From internships to dual degree courses, exhibitors provided information on training and professional development opportunities parallel to their normal trade fair activities. STAHL CraneSystems is also looking forward to new arrivals – with a specially shot cinema commercial aimed at future trainees who have “what it takes to lift”. The spot could be viewed at the stand, even before its actual launch in the cinemas of the region. STAHL CraneSystems also gave away cinema tickets as part of a small quiz competition.

This year the STAHL CraneSystems stand attracted a particularly large number of people as there was plenty to marvel at. In addition to intelligent crane and hoisting technology, visitors to the fair saw the junior world champion in trial biking in action at the stand. Trial biking and crane technology – how do they fit together? The answer is pretty well. Both disciplines require a lot of skill and balance to keep a cool head even in difficult terrain (or under extreme conditions) and always have a perfect solution at hand. “That’s why STAHL CraneSystems is the perfect sponsor for me,” says Oliver Widmann. At the stand, the 18- year-old from Bönnigheim showed what tricks are possible with a bike on just a few square metres. He not only uses wooden obstacles, but even balanced around a courageous trainee from STAHL CraneSystems voluntarily lying on the ground.

The Hohenlohe Business Fair is always a great exchange platform for suppliers from trade, craft and industry. It allows Hohenlohe to present itself as a business location, and even a global player such as STAHL CraneSystems can meet the right visitors and partners there. The next business fair in Künzelsau will not take place again before autumn 2022 – but STAHL CraneSystems intends to disseminate technical know-how at the fair once again in three years’ time and make new contacts. “We hope that this year in particular we will appeal to the younger generation and inspire them to come to us,” says Heike Metzger, Project Manager of Marketing & Corporate Communication. “Of course, many young people are also drawn to the larger cities, but the business location of Hohenlohe should not be underestimated. We would like to show that STAHL CraneSystems is an attractive company for training and professional development. We offer a great working atmosphere, a strong community and at the same time exciting, meaningful and demanding tasks and challenges.”
